Good question. After almost 15 years of training in martial arts, I turned to Yoga to help heal from a debilitating injury. My experience with traditional hot yoga was the single most powerful component of my recovery. From then on, my goal was to bring this healing practice to others who also need it. I left a 20 year public school teaching career in New York to relocate to Los Angeles and complete my first 200 hour yoga teacher training. I began teaching yoga in May of 2013, and am certified in Hot Power Fusion, Power Yoga, Yoga Sculpt and Yin/Restorative Yoga. I’m currently an ERYT-200 and YACEP (whatever that means) a Certified Personal Trainer, and an ACE Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
My current focus is on traditional hot yoga and Yin yoga, as I believe these are the most effective therapeutic styles of yoga. I excel at working with those recovering from injuries, illness and addiction, and believe that yoga is for every body at every age and ability level. When you take my class, you will will be challenged mentally and physically (and maybe even surprised at what you can do): you will smile, either because of or in spite of my dad jokes: and you will hear classic rock music whether you like it or not.
Are you ready to change your life?
Oh my heavens, drop ya shoulders!!
Tuck in your lower ribs for the love of God
